Simply stated, HOPE is a framework and a "control panel" for your business.
The basic principles embodied in the HOPE system
are completeness and ease of use. To complete jobs and actually do your work in business, you need to relate each action you take with its consequences for your customers, vendors, employees, bankers, government, and others. HOPE permits you to do just that.
To perform as a control panel, HOPE offers you on the computer's screen, as well as in "hard copy" on paper, a series of "menus" and business forms on which the choices you and your customers make automatically and at the time it actually happens. It then provides a series of displays and reports, on which your results coming from all your actions show up.
Like many "organizers" you may be familiar with, HOPE lets you shape your business (and personal) plans and and activities on a calendar, which the computer prepares and maintains for you and your associates. The calendar, and "menus" of activities easily available from it, are your primary means of control and analysis.
So, what's new? As indicated above, the completeness and ease of use. By completeness, we mean that the calendar grows to include not only entries you and your associates make on it, but most importantly all those business transactions including delivery dates to customers, merchandise from vendors and due dates for taxes, which will affect your actions and success.
